The 6th WEEC is starting in Brisbane
Quasi 800 delegati di oltre 50 Paesi hanno presto parte alla prima giornata di lavori del 6° Congresso mondiale di educazione ambientale. Nei prossimi giorni si confronteranno con esperti mondiali sulle più recenti ricerche sull’educazione ambientale, sullo sviluppo industriale e politico, e sui programmi. I temi del congresso sono Esplora, Fai esperienze, Educa, con un focus particolare sul ruolo dell'educazione ambientale nelle scelte relative al cambiamento climatico.
The five-day congress program encourage participants to learn and share new ways of thinking and to explore new trends in research and practice in environmental education. The first two days of the program will focus on the science impact on climate change in the Asia-Pacific, while day three provides an opportunity for young people to discuss the nature and purpose of environmental education in the future.
Participants have the chance to network and engage with environmental educators who work in schools, higher education, federal, state and local government agencies, non-government organizations, industry and education.
Previously hosted in Portugal, Brazil, Italy, South Africa and Canada this is the first time that the WEEC will be held in the Asia-Pacific region.
