As a new part on our website, we will be featuring news, events, educational opportunities (such as masters, conferences, and so on), in a calendar news wall format. If participants want an event to be published, the service is completely free, as long as they adhere to our weec network. News and events from all over the world will be published, as long as they are submitted in one of the three following languages: English, French and Spanish.

Appel à contributions pour les Journées de Chamonix: derniers jours!
Les prochaines Journées internationales de l’éducation scientifique (JIES) auront lieu du 25 au 28 avril 2011, sur le thème de L'Idée de Nature dans la médiation et l'éducation scientifiques.
Nous avons déjà reçu plus de 120 contributions et, à la demande de plusieurs collègues, nous avons accepté de reporter la date limite de l'appel à contributions au 31 janvier, pour permettre à ceux et celles d'entre vous qui n'en auraient pas encore eu le temps de remplir le formulaire en ligne.

La dimension politique de l’éducation relative à l’environnement
Le volume 9 de la revue Éducation relative à l’environnement: Regards – Recherches – Réflexions, abordera différents aspects de la dimension politique de l’éducation relative à l’environnement, permettant entre autres de témoigner de l’exploration de ce thème durant le 5e Congrès mondial d’éducation relative à l’environnement, tenu à Montréal du 10 au 14 mai 2009.

Biodiversity and climate change
The 2010 international campaign "Mediterranean Action Day" promoted by MIO-ECSDE is dedicated to the theme of biodiversity in the Mediterranean sea and climate change. As pointed out by IUCN, the Mediterranean region is one of the places on earth in with the highest biodiversity and richness in landscapes.
57.468 animal species, of which 1.255 are vertebrates. 8.000 plants (12.000 if we include algae and lichens), plus 20.000 species of mushrooms. These are the numbers that describe the richness of Italian biodiversity.
7th International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability
The 2011 Conference is to be held at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand from 5 to 7 January 2011. The Conference will work in a multidisciplinary way across the various fields and perspectives through which we can address the fundamental and related questions of sustainability.World Forum Planet'ERE 4
Cameroon will host the World Forum Planèt'ERE 4 from July 19th to 27th, 2010. The event is organised by the NGO Volontariat pour l'Environnement, focal point of the Collectif en Éducation à l'Environnement du Cameroun (CEECAM)
